Facial Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Training
The facial plastic surgery fellowship course is held over three days at Dr Pentyala's New You Cosmetic Clinic in Bangalore, India. The faculty is made up of expertise under renowned international facial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kishore Babu Pentyala and cosmetologist Dr. Madhu Bhatia, who is also Aesthetic physician and clinical dermatologist (London and Wales). The course gives a grounding in facial cosmetic and aims to familiarize delegates with surgical dermatology; local flaps for the face, rhinoplasty, neck, the ageing face and rejuvenation, and relevant cosmetic procedures and techniques, including non-surgical face lift.
Who is it for?
The course is aimed at trainees in face, nose and other cosmetic surgery process. It is also relevant to consultants with an interest in facial cosmetic surgery and rhinoplasty surgery, to trainees, and to general practitioners with an interest in facial cosmetic procedures.
Why did you do it?
Exposure to facial cosmetic surgery can be limited in India and around the world. Facial Cosmetic techniques and procedures do not necessarily form part of a regular clinical caseload for a core trainee. This course offers a great introduction to facial cosmetics and aesthetic surgery. After this, topics include dermatology, and surgical procedures such as rhinoplasty (noses), blepharoplasty (eyelids), cheek augmentation and genioplasty (chin). The course provides delegates with the knowledge and terminology needed to begin to approach facial cosmetics surgery with confidence. Top tips from consultants and recommended techniques were invaluable.
What is the structure?
The course is delivered over three days. The first two days are lecture based. The third day is hands-on surgical skills at our latest operation theatre. No pre-course preparation is required. Lunch, tea and coffee are provided throughout.

Was it worth it?
The range of topics covered by interactive lectures, demonstrations, and skills sessions provided great academic value. Financially, the course is excellent value for money as some three-day surgical courses can cost more than $3000. Considering that it includes practical demonstrations with patients, a skills lab session, and catering, the course represents outstanding value.
Would you recommend it?
It was an enjoyable and informative course and a very useful grounding in knowledge and skills in facial plastics and cosmetic surgery. The course offers a great start for junior trainees to get to grips with facial cosmetics, techniques, and specific procedures.
